Two Broke Watch Snobs
My first impression was that I made a good choice. Yes, the Seiko SNE537 is 47mm wide but it looks, feels, and wears a lot smaller. It has many different surfaces and finishes all visible at once yet they work together nicely.

Editor’s note: I’ve got a thing for beaten-up watches. It shows they’ve lived a life, and that their owners aren’t thinking primarily about resale value. They’re watches being worn in the spirit in which they’re made. And that’s a good thing. A few months ago I ended up wearing the Omega Seamaster 300 for a … ContinuedThe post Spending a month with a beaten-up Omega Seamaster 300 – a watch that wears its scars proudly appeared first on Time+Tide Watches.

Last year, Breguet introduced a stunningly simple, surprisingly asymmetrical addition to the Classique family, the Tourbillon Extra-Flat. This year, at Time to Move, they’ve premiered the next chapter. It’s still a Classique Tourbillon, but it’s been dramatically skeletonised. Editor’s note: This year, Panerai made the Submersible a line in its own right, and honestly, we’re wondering what took them so long. Editor’s note: The other week I met up with a globetrotting friend from the internet (it happens more often than you might suspect), and on his wrist was the Tudor Black Bay GMT. Cars and TAG Heuer is a match made not just in heaven but also in heritage, no doubt something that the marketing departments of other watch brands envy deeply. Editor’s note: Just quietly, the Tissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic is an incredible amount of watch for the money. Cool dial, modern bells and whistles, and a strong power reserve. And it looks good. Being only 10mm thick, the watch fits perfectly under any shirt or jacket and the curved (and drilled) lugs let the watch hug your wrist like it was made for it.
