When 40mm reads small
Most modern watch design assumes a 6.5-7.0" wrist. On a 7.5" wrist, a 40mm watch with 47mm L2L can read 'unisex' rather than 'masculine'. The fix is 42-46mm cases with 50mm+ lug-to-lug, but most luxury sports brands have moved toward smaller sizing in the 2020s. Picks here are watches that intentionally stayed big.
